Ballfields Barn is a stunning, detached, contemporary cottage which nestles on a delightful south facing hillside location on the south west edge of The Peak District National Park. A beautiful tranquil rural location, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, adjoining RSPB Coombes Valley Reserve. A pet friendly cottage in the grounds of the owners’ property.

Ballfields Barn is a luxury self catering Holiday Cottage in the Peak District, converted in 2011 and sleeps up to 4 adults. It is ideally located for holidays in the Derbyshire and Staffordshire Peak District. You can unwind in peace and tranquillity in the midst of spectacular rural countryside. Spend days out walking The Coombes or wander around local market towns and picturesque villages, or visit places such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Biddulph Grange gardens.

The Barn is accredited with 4 stars with a Gold Award from Visit England, and many accolades from guests. The Barn has a traditional stone exterior and offers spacious open plan comfortable living with a bespoke modern fully fitted oak painted kitchen, comfortable lounge with woodburning stove; quality contemporary furnishings throughout, natural slate and oak floors; superbly equipped with quality appliances, dishwasher,cooker, microwave,washer, dryer, fridge, freezer, flatscreen smart TV, DVD, fast fibre WiFi, iron, ironingboard and hairdryers. The Barn has 2 floors , the upper floor accessed by oak open tread stairs, 2 bedrooms with single beds and 2 ensuites.

The property and the surroundings are gorgeous. The barn conversion could appear in Architectural Digest. It is very well equipped — it even has a blender. The bathrooms are lovely, so is the kitchen — I could run out of superlatives here.

Brian and Isabel are wonderful hosts, couldn’t ask for better hosts.

This is a beautiful converted barn, well presented with everything you need to make it a home from home! I have stayed here a number of times now and feel really at home. The owners are lovely and can’t do enough for you, always on hand if you need them without being intrusive! There is some beautiful countryside in the surrounding area and Leek has some lovely restaurants which I have also left feedback on. Well worth a trip!

The property has everything you could possible need. It has a tranquil setting with stunning views and settings across the Staffordshire Moorlands towards the market town of Leek. The quality of the furnishings is truly luxurious.

The owners are most welcoming hosts and have provided so many extra touches to make your stay so comfortable that you want to return. Excellent!
